About Us
Roberta Vaughan’s Retro Adventures (RVRA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to connecting the future of entertainment to the adventures of the past. We are a museum-style preservation and education initiative that aims to inspire today’s creators and fans alike by showcasing the amazing, odd, unique, and important entries in popular culture history – spanning film and music, but most importantly, computer and video games. Through traveling exhibits, live events, and public programs, the project highlights the creative, technical, and cultural legacy of interactive media.
Our Inspiration
The dream of travelling “pop-up museums” was the unique vision of fellow friend and video game publicist, Roberta Vaughan. She worked tirelessly in the adventure game community – managing marketing, public relations, and as a community liaison for The Classic Gamers Guild, representing Gabriel Knight composer Robert Holmes, and creator Jane Jensen, helping to support other friends, game developers, artists, and musicians. Her thorough collection of games laid the groundwork for the FMV Zone exhibit at PRGE in 2025, and continues to inspire collections on her interests in film, music, and video games.
